Ineos Fusilier: Small-Sized 4×4 with Electric or Hybrid Power Choices for Eco-Friendly Adventures

Ineos just introduced its latest model, the Ineos Fusilier. It is a well-designed SUV with Pludin Hybrid and EV options. It’s a cool cousin of Ineous Grenadier that creates a buzz in the auto market.

The plug-in hybrid gets a range of extended powertrains. Moreover, another new model, the Grenadier, is coming soon in the U.S. market this year.

Design

The overall exterior design seems inspired by the Land Rover Defender and the Grenadier but adds a touch of modern flair.

The Fusilier now gets aerodynamic that offer smoother edges, a sleeker front, and a windshield that’s just a tad more laid-back. Oh, and did we mention it will have active radiator grille shutters? Fancy, right?

The Ineios Fusilier is smaller in size than the Grenadier. To be precise, it has a total length of 178 inches. This design is to be made from Magna in Austria.

The same contract manufacturer built the Jaguar I-Pace, Fisker Ocean, and Mercedes G-Class. Magna also handled the engineering for the Grenadier manufactured in France.

Plus, say goodbye to the old-school ladder frame chassis – the Fusilier is leveling up with a “battery skateboard” platform. It’s like riding a hoverboard, but, you know, for cars.

Power Play: EV or Hybrid, Take Your Pick

The Fusilier Ineos comes with electric motors on each axle for smooth sailing.

But wait, there’s more! You can choose a hybrid version featuring a nifty range-extender engine that is a backup battery charger. It’s like having a personal power station on wheels!

The Fusilier offers a solid 248-mile range of electric power, perfect for your everyday adventures. And even with the range-extender kicking in, you’ll still have plenty of electric-only miles to keep you cruising.

However, there’s no info about gasoline engines for the range extenders.

It might get a 6-cylinder engine similar to a Grenadier, but we’re still unsure.

Handling

The New Ineos is capable of handling rough terrain and performing tremendously.

However, the Fusilier also knows how to clean up nicely for city life; say hello to smoother steering and a lifestyle-friendly vibe about making your daily drive a breeze.

Release Date

Ineos has said the Fusilier will come out in 2027, but they have yet to give us many details.
