2025 RAM 1500 RHO – OVERVIEW
The all-new 2025 RAM 1500 RHO is one heavy-looking truck that commands attention. This truck not only looks bulky and aggressive, but from the inside, it also offers a luxurious and comfortable interior.
Unlike most other RAM 1500s, this new RAM inherits its platform and luxurious interior from the regular half-ton Ram 1500.
The new 2025 RAM 1500 RHO is a formidable off-road machine that replaces the previous 1500 TRX in Ram’s lineup.
This new 1500 RHO now offers a new twin-turbo 3.0L inline-six engine that is capable of delivering a maximum power of 540 HP. It is now more focused on off-road trails and performance.
Ram announced that they will not be producing the RAM 1500 TRX from 2025 onwards. It also indicated that the new model will not be as good as the TRX. However, the new RHO is more fun to ride and performs better in rough terrain.
Powertrains
As mentioned earlier, the all-new RAM 2500 RHO gets the new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine. It produces a maximum of 540 HP, and it’s mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Along with that, it offers an all-wheel drive, which performs best while off-roading.
It has Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shock absorbers and a specially tuned air spring suspension system, while its rear axle offers up to 14 inches of travel. And with a suspension upgrade and 35-inch all-terrain tires, the 1500 model boasts the most ground clearance in the lineup at 11.8 inches.
It does a good job of competing against the Ford F-150 Raptor, although the more potent Raptor R has no direct rival.
Acceleration
According to the company, the new RAM 1500 RHO can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. And the best part is that the RHO can hit 100 mph in 11.7 seconds, which is not that bad for a bulky pickup truck.
And also, there’s more; additionally, the truck’s manufacturer claims that it can reach the quarter-mile at 105 mph in 13.1 seconds.
Towing Capability
When it comes to towing capabilities, the new RHO is not as strong as the TRD. Its maximum towing capacity is 8380 pounds, which is a little less than that of the Ram 1500 standard.
Furthermore, there is ample space to move freight, with a maximum weight of 1520 pounds. Additionally, you can haul enough heavy objects with the towing capability.
Fuel Economy
The 1500 RHO is expected to get 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the interstate, according to EPA estimations. Although those figures may not seem like much, they are a significant improvement over the V-8-powered TRX’s rating of just 10 mpg in the city and 14 mpg on the interstate.
Interior Design
Ram RHO has an excellent interior, designed with high-quality materials. Ram’s latest half-ton pickups set new standards for truck interiors. It also provides excellent insulation from outside noise. The RHO variations, which are available only as a crew cab with a short cargo bed, are similarly sleek and sophisticated but with a performance focus.
Suitcases and leather upholstery are standard interior items that give the vehicle an upscale appearance. The athletic look of the cabin is enhanced by upgrades like carbon-fibre inlays and leather dash panels. With the RHO Equipment Group option, drivers can feel even more pleasure and relaxation when traversing rough terrain thanks to the massaging front seats.
You’ll get a larger 14.5-inch display on the ROH Equipment Group package as an option. However, if you purchase the standard version of RHO, then you will get a smaller, vertically oriented 12.0-inch infotainment system. Luckily, both versions of the RHO feature the latest Uconnect 5 interface.
