The new 2024 Toyota Tundra hasn’t gone through massive aesthetic changes. However, this time, it offers several important feature upgrades for 2024.

Like the previous TRD model, it was only accessible to certain grades. This time, the new 2024 Toyota TRD model is now accessible in the Platinum grade, with a sleek black grille complemented by a colour-keyed surround.

Along with that, the new package offers some extra features like black mirror caps, window surrounds, over-fenders, and badging, enhancing its rugged appeal. And not to forget that the body colour and black door handles are now included in the package.

Powertrains

Furthermore, this time Toyota has also introduced its Nightshade packages, which are accessible on the Limited Grade.
It is now available on a larger range of vehicles, having previously been combined with the load-levelling air suspension only on Platinum and 1794 Grades.

  • Base SR model: This model can deliver a maximum power of 348 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.
  • Higher Trim Level: This model can generate a maximum power of 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.
  • Hybrid version: This model delivers a maximum power of 473 horsepower.

All these models are equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission. It offers a coil-spring rear suspension for a smoother ride, while the TRD Off-Road model offers features like all-terrain tyres, lifted suspension, and a rear locker.

Also, there’s a TRD Pro package that has a lifted suspension and special shocks if you want to ride it on rough terrain.

Likewise, the TRD Pro Sport offers a lowered suspension and larger wheels for a sportier look. TRD Sport includes a half-inch lowered suspension along with 20-inch wheels.

The 2024 Toyota Tundra can tow up to 12,000 pounds, but it’s not the best in its class. The Ford F-150 has the highest towing capacity at 14,000 pounds, followed by the Chevrolet Silverado at 13,300 pounds and the Ram 1500 at 12,750 pounds.

It’s EPA-rated for up to 20 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, but fuel efficiency may vary. Overall, it’s a powerful truck with different options for different needs.

Price

The 2024 Toyota Tundra’s price ranges from $41,815 to $64,310, varying based on chosen trim levels and additional options.

The beginning price of the vehicle is $41,815 for the SR and $47,350 for the SR5. This pricing structure applies to all of the trim levels. Moving higher, the Platinum trim costs $63,625 and the Limited trim $53,705, respectively. Exotically priced at $64,310 is the 1794 Edition.

  • SR: $41,815
  • SR5: $47,350
  • Limited: $53,705
  • Platinum: $63,625
  • 1794 Edition: $64,310

Interior Design

The 2024 Toyota Tundra includes more prominent high-quality material inside the cabin compared to previous models.

Expectations were higher when the style and design of the interior were super, but it lacked innovation and failed to introduce anything groundbreaking to the truck segment.

The dashboard is sturdy, including large air vents and a strong, rounded middle part connecting the door panels.

The Tundra top-tier Capstone model includes some added features like

  • Prominent air vents
  • Semi-aniline leather upholstery
  • American walnut interior trim
  • Acoustically laminated side windows
  • Heads-up display

More flexibility is available with the head-up display, which was previously limited to specific classes and is now offered as a limited grade.

All models, except the TRD Pro, now have the option to add a factory three-inch raise kit, each with a unique suspension configuration.

Choosing the shorter cab does not impact front-row comfort, but it does decrease back-seat legroom from 41.6 inches in the crew cab to 33.3 inches in the extended cab.

The two trims, SR and SR5, include an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen as standard. Fortunately, you can upgrade to a 14-inch screen in SR trim, which is standard on the rest of the lineup.

You will get a bigger 14-inch screen that has clear graphics and volume knobs. But sadly, it doesn’t have a tuning knob and has limited functionality on the steering wheel controls.

It also offers two different speaker setups: the crew cab, which includes a 9-speaker system, and the extended cab, which has a basic 6-speaker arrangement.

A 12-speaker JBL Premium Audio system is included as standard equipment on models Limited and higher.

For models higher than the Platinum, it offers a wireless charging system.
Standard features include wireless. Apple Car Play and Android Auto; a Wi-Fi hotspot that requires a subscription.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard on all Tundras. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic warning are included with the Limited level and higher.
Also, the warranty period is limited to three years or 36,000 miles.

Warranty on the powertrain: 60,000 miles or five years. Free maintenance: For two years or 25,000 miles, the vehicle is covered.
