Overview
Maserati has recently unveiled the convertible version of GranTurismo with cloth softop, called the Maserati GranCabrio.
It weighs more than a coupe and initially offers a 542-hp Trofeo version. It’s pricy and heavier than its other coupe models.

All-new Maserati just dropped an aesthetically eye-pleasing convertible, the Maserati GranCabrio.
This car looks similar to the GranTurismo but with a cloth rooftop. If you like driving in the open air, this car might be just for you.
GranCabrio top comes in various color options like Gray, Black, Grey, Blue, & Red. The cloth soft of GranCabrio takes close to 16 seconds to raise in and 14 seconds to lower it at 32mph.
You can control the soft top by gesture and also from the central screen.
It’s a convertible, and you’ll get only four cubic feet of space after you fold down the car’s roof into the trunk. Hence, there needs to be more space to carry your luggage.
But if you don’t need to fold down the roof, there’s a part you can move to make extra space, adding two more cubic feet.
Maserati GranCabrio is a bit heavier and might perform, though Maserati claims to be heavyweight. Its actual curb weight is 359 pounds.
Inside, the GranCabrio offers a wind deflector. You can keep it in the rear seat. It helps to reduce buffeting. Along with that, it also comes with a neck warmer. It blows air out of vents on the seats.

At first, the company will launch droptop only in the top-tier Trofeo model.
It will get an impressive twin turbo 3.0 liter V-6 engine, called the “Nettuno, capable of delivering 544 horsepower. It is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission and includes all-wheel drive.
Talking about the Nettuno engine, this engine is also available in another model of Maserati, like the MC20 supercar. However, the engine is detuned on this version.
And here’s an exciting rumor. Maserati might launch its electric Folgore, which is a convertible version. And if it does launch this particular version, it could keep us on the edge of our seats with that electric thrill ride.
And who wouldn’t be curious about a GranCabrio with a lower-powered V-6 model and teasing us with the possibility of a Modena trim level for the droptop?
